NEIL ARMSTRONG
FIRST
MAN ON THE MOON.
Children love the moon. Everywhere in the
world this happens. The distance from our Earth to the Moon is about 237000
miles. For long ages men dreamed of travelling to the moon. But no one could
that is until 1969.
On 21st of July 1969, Neil Armstrong an American Astronaut landed on the Moon. He was the first human being who stepped on the Moon. He was 38 at the time. A few minutes later his companion Edvin Aldrin also joined him on the surface of the Moon, both of them travelled there, in the space vehicle called Apollo 11. This way Neil Armstrong became a hero for all mankind, as the first Man on the Moon. The two of them spent only two hours and 31minutes on the surface of the Moon, but those 151 minutes Neil Armstrong spent on the moon will never be forgotten by human history. Neil Armstrong passed away at 82,on the 25th of August 2012. His words when he stepped on the Moon were “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. These words will last long.
